Mastichari Beach

Mastichari Beach is situated in the village of Mastichari on the northern coast of the Greek Mediterranean island of Kos. The long, wide beach of fine, white sand begins at the port of Mastichari and extends from there for about 1.5 km in southwest direction. While it is still quite lively at the level of the town centre near the harbour, it becomes calmer in the further course of the beach and at least outside the main season from June to August also lonelier. In the background of Mastichari Beach runs a dune landscape and from the beach you get a great view of the opposite island Kalimnos.
